Art Specialist design new pavilion for the Pump House Gallery

Over the course of this year, our Key Stage 3 Art Specialist students have been working on a joint project with NEON architects and Elliot Wood structural engineers on the design of a pavilion for the Pump House Gallery in Battersea Park.   Taking influences from the architectural history of the area, this spectacular space is housing a variety of events, screenings and workshops over the course of Wandsworth Arts Fringe.  Working with the architects and designers, this was so much more than an art project; our students really got to experiment with the science behind their design.

A special thank you goes to the Art Department, in particular Ms Keeble, who organised the collaboration. The students' incredible work is now on show as part of the Wandsworth Arts Fringe Festival and is on display until May 21st.  Find out more about the whole project by watching this video.
