Friends of Chestnut Grove (FoCG) is open to all parents with children at Chestnut Grove, and to teachers.
What we do:
- A Place for parents to find out more about how the school works and to raise questions
- Network with other parents
- Organise social activities for parents and students
- Support events and activities run by the school
- Raise money to fund facilities and trips for students
Events and meetings
We meet four to five times a year in the evenings at the school. Everyone is welcome.

Events this term:
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 18th September at 6:30pm in the theatre (in the block by the Boundaries Road car park entrance). Everyone is very welcome to come along, meet other parents and propose ideas.
New Year 7 Fish & Chips Quiz Night – Friday 5th October
Open to all new Year 7 students and their parents/carers.
Tickets will be available on ParentPay from 21st September at a cost of £9 for adults and £5 for students. The ticket price includes fish and chips, and for students a complimentary ice cream and unlimited squash. There will be a cash bar on the night.
A veggie option will be available (reserved via firstname.lastname@example.org at least 48 hours in advance).
Please get your tickets as soon as possible so we can confirm numbers with the fish and chip shop.
We look forward to seeing lots of new Year 7s and their parents on the night!
International Evening – Tuesday 13th November, 5.30-8.30pm
We are supporting the school’s International Evening thanks to funding from the Aviva Community Fund. We are looking to encourage our diverse school community to showcase their cultures through dance, cuisine, music or costume – more information will be issued via the Head Teacher’s fortnightly newsletter but please reserve the date in your diaries and contact us if you are interested in taking part.
Annual General Meeting (AGM) – Tuesday 6th November 7pm
We will have our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Tuesday 6 November so please come along to that to find out more about what we get up to, what you can do to help, to vote for existing and/or new committee members or to join us on the committee.
