Head of House - Ms Marchbank

We can take inspiration from Da Vinci both as an artist and a person. He was born in Vinci in Italy the illegitimate son of ex-slave girl. He educated himself, and whilst he is famous as an artist he was a polymath (very good at many things). His talents included being a Scientist, mathematician, writer, engineer, inventor, anatomist, sculptor, botanist and musician. He didn’t mind being seen as different in order to follow his beliefs and was vegetarian at a time when very few people were. Da Vinci was never afraid to try new things and experimented with techniques and styles of paintings and as a result became world famous. Born in humble circumstances Da Vinci died in the arms of the King of France.
