Chestnut Grove has a thriving and successful Sixth Form. Teachers and students enjoy mature working relationships built around mutual respect and shared responsibility. We value all our students and, through our tutorial systems, pre-Sixth Form interviews, target setting and monitoring, we offer the best kind of guidance and support through years 12, 13 and beyond.

Our aim is to provide our students with the best opportunities to progress into further and higher education or into the world of work, equipped to meet the challenges of the 21st century. We provide care and continuity and are confident of the high quality of education and training we offer. Moreover we pride ourselves on the spirit and sense of community within the Sixth Form.

We value the enormous contribution Sixth Formers make to the life of the whole school community, and encourage students to develop their talents and abilities through a wide range of activities, both in and out of school. We hope that you will find the Sixth Form an exciting and stimulating time which will afford you the opportunities and develop the skills that will prepare you effectively for higher education and the world of work.

Read the information about our Sixth Form carefully and discuss your likely GCSE grades with your teachers and parents/ carers. Complete one of the forms below and return it to the head of Sixth Form. Please include details of an academic referee such as Head of Year/ House.

When the application form is received you will then be called for an interview and will meet with Head of Sixth Form to discuss your suitability and subject choices. A formal offer of a place in the Sixth Form may then follow. You will then need to make a provisional subject choice, but all final decisions will be confirmed after GCSE results are known.

Please note that all course offers are provisional and are dependent on the numbers choosing a particular subject.
